Exploring diversity
Here you will find a booklet that contains six innovative teaching modules for training students in the helping professions (such as social work, counseling, therapy, education, psychology) to cope effectively with diversity through a deep understanding of self and other based on an awareness of context and complexity, self-reflection and ability to cope with human differences.
The modules, presented here as teaching units to be incorporated into academic courses, are also recommended for use in training sessions for professionals working with people in multicultural societies. The modules have been developed as an outcome of the DEMO project, by the Hebrew University’s NEVET’s training group. We hope to foster a personal meaningful learning process that enables students and trainees to connect to both their own and other people’s perspectives, stories and life experiences.
